Verdict, the verifier

Verdict is Atlas’s verifier, shown as a brass scale. It reads every attachment received by e-mail, says what it is (invoice, quote, contract…) and extracts the useful fields. Atlas also has it check an amount or a date before answering you.

Settings › Atlas and AI › Verdict: Verdict's scale and its introduction, then Document classes with Add a class, and the default classes Invoice, Quote, Purchase order, Contract, Résumé and Bank statement with their fields.
  • It classifies attachments. Every attachment containing text gets a class: Invoice, Quote, Purchase order, Contract, Résumé, Bank statement, Payslip or Receipt, plus your organisation’s own. It states its certainty: “Sure at 97%”, or “Unsure: please confirm”.
  • It extracts the class’s fields: for an invoice, its number, issuer, date, due date, totals excluding and including VAT, VAT number.
  • It checks a claim for Atlas: “the total including VAT is €1,440” gets “True”, “False” or “Uncertain”, with a percentage. The scale shows in the conversation while it works.
  • It sorts the Inbox: each e-mail’s category comes from it (see The Inbox).
  • It fills choice fields. In Data model, a choice-list field can be handed to Verdict (Fill with Verdict): it reads the fields and files of every record where that field is empty, then picks the value. It never replaces a value someone entered. In lists, a small scale marks those values.

The eight default classes (Default badge) can’t be changed. Add the documents specific to your business: expense report, delivery note, certificate…

The New document class window: Name, How to recognize it, Fields to extract with one field and its type, Add a field, Cancel and Save.
  1. Click Add a class.
  2. Give it a Name, for example “Expense report”.
  3. Describe How to recognize it: Verdict picks the class from this description.
  4. Add the Fields to extract (12 at most), each with its type: Amount, Date, Number / reference, Company or person, Text, Email or Phone.
  5. Click Save.

All attachments are then reclassified in the background. An added class is edited or deleted with the icons on its right. Only the Owner and admins add classes.
