Safeguards and sending mailboxes

Safeguards protect your contacts and your mailboxes’ reputation: they apply to every sequence of the organization.

Depending on your plan Settings › E-mails › Sequences Every member (safeguards editable by the Owner and Admins)
The Sequences tab of the E-mails settings: Your mailbox, sending mailbox health with a paused mailbox, then pressure on each contact, ramp-up, bounces, open tracking and the cap per mailbox.

Let the organization’s sequences write from my mailbox to contacts I own is used by sequences whose sender is Owner of each record. Without this consent, the sequence’s fallback mailbox sends instead. This setting only applies to you.

Each mailbox used by sequences shows its sends and bounce rate over 30 days, and its ramp-up week. A Paused mailbox sends nothing until it is resumed: Resume sending is for its holder and admins.

  • Pressure on each contact: the maximum number of sequence emails per contact per day, the minimum gap between two sequences for the same contact, and Don’t enroll customers (contacts linked to a won opportunity, directly or through their company).
  • Ramp-up for new mailboxes: a mailbox that never sent a sequence is limited week after week, then moves to the normal cap. The steps are suggested by Arcane and editable; they are not Google or Microsoft figures.
  • Bounces: above the set rate over 7 days, the mailbox is paused, and its holder and admins can be told in Today.
  • Open and click tracking: With the contact’s consent (each sequence can turn it on, only contacts who accepted are tracked) or Never (no pixel or tracked link).
  • Cap per mailbox, over 24 h: the table gives, per mailbox type, Arcane’s cap and the provider’s limit. It is shared with emails to all contacts and kept under the provider’s limit so your normal emails still go through.
